Old Naples The Old Naples neighborhood in the City of Naples has most of the original homes in Naples, many dating from near the turn of the century. Extending north from the Third Street South shopping area to the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club and west from US 41 to the beach, the neighborhood is filled with mature palms and tropical landscaping, and a mix of old and new homes. The neighborhoods south of that, Aqualane Shores and Port Royal are beautiful upscale communities that were dredged up out of the mangroves in the 1950s and are therefore not “old” by Old Naples standards.
